The Sims 4: Eco Lifestyle

Eco Lifestyle adds systems that can change an entire neighborhood, not just one household. In Evergreen Harbor, Sims can improve or worsen the local environment, generate their own power with solar panels and wind turbines, collect water, grow food in vertical gardens, recycle materials, and turn those materials into useful objects.

Neighborhood Action Plans add another layer by letting residents vote on rules that affect daily life and the behavior of other Sims. Community Spaces can change their purpose, while Fabrication, candle making, juice fizzing, and dumpster diving create new ways to make things and earn money. Many of these features connect naturally with one another.

Features

• Recycling and Fabrication remain useful even in saves where environmental themes are not the main focus.
• Neighborhood Action Plans can noticeably change how a neighborhood behaves, although some rules may feel intrusive if you leave voting entirely to other Sims.
• The Eco Footprint lets you deliberately transform an area from polluted and industrial to cleaner and greener – or take it in the opposite direction.
• Mods for environmental changes, neighborhood rules, recycling, utilities, or object crafting may use systems and objects from Eco Lifestyle.
