Did your ex cheat on you? Did your relationship end on bad terms, and they are a bit vengeful? Or did you break up on good terms, but your Sim is still being petty? Now you can leave a petty voicemail for your ex for literally no reason! It is located in the Social category on your phone. It only appears if your Sim has an ex. If your Sim was never in a relationship with this person and did not break up with them, this option will not appear. In other words, if you have not officially dated and only have a negative relationship, this option will not show up. To ensure your Sims are exes, you can check the character profile for the “Breakup” status. A selection window will then appear, showing all your exes, allowing you to choose who to leave a voicemail for. If you select a character, your Sim will call them and leave a voicemail. What they say depends on the interpretation, but upon request, I can create custom notifications with random petty things to say. Shortly after, the ex will likely see the voicemail and call back with an equally petty response. I have included several variants in the game, currently around 17, but I will add new ones as updates are released. Who would not feel terrible after such a response? Immediately after, your Sim will receive a notification asking if they are miserable enough to apologize. This is not required; if you do not want your Sim to apologize, they do not have to, but the option is there because if your Sim apologizes, there is a small chance the ex may forgive them and they can resume the relationship. Sims will also experience various embarrassed emotions because their ex actually responded to the voicemail. If you apologize to your ex, a notification with the apology will appear (more options will be added in future updates) along with a response from the ex that YOU can choose! I also added a “RANDOM” option for those who want more random variants. If you choose “I do not care,” you will get a neutral result where the ex partner is indifferent to the whole situation, neither angry nor happy. They simply do not care. If you choose “Dude, just stop contacting me, please. Leave me alone,” you will get an angry response where the ex is simply mad and wants to be left alone. This will result in a loss of friendship. In the future, I will add emotions and more relationship information, so stay tuned for updates! Finally, if you choose “It is okay. I forgive you,” this will lead to a positive result, which in turn leads to two other outcomes. First, the Sims end on a good note, and that is it. Second, the ex misses your Sim and wants to go on a date to resume the relationship. Do not worry if this is not the outcome you want; I have also provided the option to decline the date while maintaining a friendly relationship. Obviously, if you choose the second option, the date will be canceled, but if you agree, you can schedule the date yourself and resume the relationship.
