This classic mod is well-known to many, but due to various factors, it isn’t always updated promptly. Nevertheless, it allows you to control pets in The Sims 4. We have thoroughly reviewed and tested it on game version 1.126+.
The Sims 4 “AOM Selectable Pets” Mod
It’s unclear why EA made cats, horses, and dogs unplayable characters. This mod makes them available for selection and gameplay. They have their own needs and behaviors to choose from.
Now dogs can perform tricks on their own, cats can suddenly attack someone or show affection to their owner, horses can nudge with their nose, go for walks, and much more. Of course, pets must be family members; then you select them with the mouse and… see a plumbob above their head. You can now click on different areas of the environment to choose activities. You’ll be able to notice and understand why a pet has an orange, red, or blue mood, see their needs, and act accordingly: feed, wash, put to bed, or entertain. The mod includes built-in Russian localization.
